Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. Who we are
EVAME ("we", "us") is a software development company based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy covers this website and the apps we publish. We are committed to meeting the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
2. Information we collect
- Spam check: the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare receives the challenge token to confirm you are not a bot. We do not use that check for marketing.
- App support: details you send us when asking for help (for example device model and app version).
- PlexoWatch: see section 8.
- Cookies and analytics: when you accept the cookie notice we store a consent flag (
evame-cookie-ok) in your browser and load Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID G-ZNMCT5D2LK). Google may set cookies and process usage data on Google's servers, including outside New Zealand. Clearing site data in your browser removes the flag; reload without accepting and the tag is not loaded.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you send us to respond to enquiries, provide support for our apps, and improve our services. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
4. Where your information goes
Contact form messages are delivered privately to our team email. If you accept the cookie notice, Google Analytics receives page-view and related usage data. No other third parties receive your data unless we need them to deliver a message (for example our email provider).
5. Retention
We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to deal with your request and for reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may request access to, or correction or deletion of, personal information we hold about you. Email us and we will action it promptly.

Privacy questions: [email protected].
8. PlexoWatch (iPhone and Apple Watch)
PlexoWatch prepares Watch-friendly copies of movies and TV episodes on your iPhone and plays them offline on Apple Watch. It is not affiliated with Plex Inc. Support: https://evame.com/apps/plexowatch/support/.
- Plex account: if you sign in, the app talks to Plex (Plex Inc.) using your account. Your Plex token is stored in the iPhone Keychain on your device. We do not receive or store that token on EVAME servers.
- Media: files you pick from Files or Photos, download from a direct media URL, or pull from your Plex server stay on your iPhone, your Plex server, and — after transfer — your Apple Watch. EVAME does not host or upload your videos.
- Purchases: unlocks are sold as Apple in-app purchases (lifetime or monthly). Apple processes payment. When a production RevenueCat key is configured, RevenueCat is used only to check your entitlement. We do not get your full card number.
- Diagnostics: the apps write operational events to on-device system logs (OSLog). There is no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the current build.
- Settings and jobs: preferences and prepare-queue state are stored locally on the device (for example UserDefaults). Sign-out removes the Plex token from Keychain.
